All three of the societies that make up the American Sub-Commission were once again very active during 2013-14. The American Society of Church History and the American Catholic Historical Association both held their principal meetings as a part of the annual convention of the American Historical Association in Washington, DC on 2-5 January 2014. The ASCH sponsored thirty-six sessions and the ACHS twenty-six, in addition to the usual business meetings, breakfasts, luncheons and receptions. The ASCH and the Society for Reformation Research sponsored two joint sessions at this same gathering.

The ASCH and the Ecclesiastical History Society (EHS) held a joint meeting 3-5 April 2014 in Oxford, UK. The spring conference of the ACHA was held on 27-29 March 2014 in Cincinnati, Ohio at Xavier University. There were thirteen panels. The SRR organized thirteen sessions in conjunction with the Sixteenth Century Society and Conference, which met in San Juan, Puerto Rico on 24-27 October 2014. The SRR also organized three sessions in conjunction with the meeting of the Medieval Academy of America at Kalamazoo, Michigan on 8-11 May 2013.

All three societies maintained flourishing journal publication programs, with the ASCH publishing Church History at Florida State University, the ACHA publishing the Catholic Historical Review at the Catholic University of America, and the SRR publishing the Archive for Reformation History in collaboration with the German Verein für Reformationsgeschichte.
